No collection of vegan dishes can be total without a vegan hamburger recipe. It takes only 4 active ingredients to make my new Vegan Lentil Hamburger patty. It’s perfect with the sweet and hot flavors of the creamy Mustard Sauce with Maple I developed particularly for this hamburger.

The best aspect of the Vegan Lentil Hamburger dish– besides its taste, undoubtedly– is that you need just four components to make the patties: lentils, raisins, walnuts, and gluten free bread crumbs.
A combination of more earthy tastes (lentil) with a touch of sweet taste from the raisins and, of course, the nuttily walnut part.
Here this is matched by the special Mustard Sauce with Maple: once again a mix of spicy and sweet.
However that sauce is not simply amazing as a topping for the Vegan Lentil Burger. I likewise advise including about 2 tablespoons of that sauce to the burger patty mix for an extra taste kick.

Guidelines
For the Mustard Sauce
- Integrate the yellow mustard and the maple syrup in a little bowl. Include a pinch of curry if you like and whisk together.
For the Vegan Lentil Hamburger patties
- If you use raw lentils, prepare them according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Else wash the canned lentils. Transfer to a mixer.
- Include the raisins and walnuts to the lentils. Blend until you get a chunky mixture.
- In a different bowl, integrate the lentil mixture with bread crumbs. Let sit for 5-10 minutes so that the bread crumbs can take in excess moisture.
