If you enjoy easy desserts that can be made in under 10 minutes, then this S’Mores Cake on the Grill is for you! Every day is a great S’Mores day, right? I’m constantly looking for a simple dessert when we host a BARBEQUE. The kids always request s’mores however given that we do not have a lot of skewers, we spend a great deal of time loafing, waiting our turn! Its so much more enjoyable when we can all sit and enjoy our dessert together, while we chat, so this S’Mores Cake is the best idea I have actually had! I even prepare to bring this, pre-assembled, to an approaching pool party! We’ve made it twice up until now and my youngest made it the second time. Thats how easy it is!
Something that I found just recently, and truly like, is the Honey Maid Graham Cracker Squares. They are excellent for s’mores if you have not attempted them previously! You can find them solely at Wal-Mart. Here is where I found them, along with the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars and Kraft’s Jet Puffed Marshmallows!
One thing you can count on is that when kids are working hard on their research, they wind up STARVING, even though they just had lunch! By the second hour, the 2nd round of food was asked for and since I was preparing my grill for supper, I chose to whip up a S’Mores Cake on the grill as an unique treat and they gobbled it up in half the time it took me to make it!
S’Mores Cake On The Grill
- 1 box Honey Housemaid Graham Cracker Squares.
- 2 Bundles Hershey Milk Chocolate Bars (6 count).
- 1 Bag of Kraft’s Jet Puffed Marshmallow.
- Non Reusable Aluminum Pan.
- Aluminum Foil.
- Baking/Cooking Spray.
- Hershey’s Caramel Syrup ( optional topping).
- Whipped Garnish ( optional).
While your grill is set on low, start by finishing the within the aluminum pan with cooking spray, to prevent sticking. Begin with a layer of Graham Cracker Squares on the bottom of the pan. I used a 9 x 9, and I was able to fit 3 rows of 2 squares. Then break then include half a chocolate bar on top of each square.
Next include a layer of marshmallows. I utilized regular sized marshmallows halved, but Kraft likewise uses Jet Puffed Stacker Mallows, which are flatter, marshmallow squares. They would have been great to use also.
Include another layer of chocolate bars on top. (Yes, I have a row of chocolate missing out on because someone ate it when my back was turned!).
Add a top layer of the Graham Cracker Squares over the Chocolate Bars.
Cover with aluminum foil and put on the leading rack of your BBQ grill. If you don’t have a leading rack, I would suggest utilizing indirect heat. Either turn off half of your burners or press the coals to one side. Place the pan over the side without the direct heat.
Close the cover of the BBQ Grill and bake the cake for 5 minutes! I didn’t try it yet, but wouldn’t a layer of peanut butter be remarkable in this??
S’Mores Cake on the Grill is our new favorite preferred summertime dessert!.
